OUR FOUNDER
Sidney Howell began his life-long career in construction very early when starting his company, Cornerstone Construction Contractors in 2000, at the age of 25 years old. Working over his high school summer vacations as an apprentice to his grandfather, at their family-owned construction company, Sidney worked hard and passionately to learn as much as he could from his mentors.

During his years as investor, Sidney constantly encountered people who were in desperate need of a reliable, ethical and efficient general contractor. After hearing endless stories of unfortunate experiences homeowners had with contractors, Sidney was motivated and encouraged to attend school and become licensed.

Since the founding of Cornerstone Construction Contractors in
2004, Sidney has continued to build his company’s reputation on the same set of principles that have guided him throughout his life. He is devoted to hard work, honesty, integrity and client satisfaction, and is determined to be the best general contractor and custom home builder in the Chicagoland area by making the dreams of each client a reality.
